See Sheffield sparkle this Christmas. With a host of family entertainment lined up across the city centre there will be something for everyone as Sheffield gears up to illuminate the city on Sunday 21 November.
35,000 people are expected to come to the city centre to enjoy the great variety of music, street performances and children’s activities that take place between the hours of 1pm and 5.30pm.
The main stage at Barkers Pool will host a line up of musical stars curtsey of Real Radio.
Sheffield Theatres’ cast of new Christmas musical Me and My Girl and pantomime Peter Pan will be joining forces to help illuminate the city.
Bring a little bit of Christmas magic to your day by spending the afternoon enjoying the wide variety of entertainment and rides on and around The Moor, Barkers Pool, the Peace Gardens, Winter Garden, Tudor Square, Fargate, Surrey Street and Pinstone Street.
Visit the Winter Garden for children’s story time and puppet shows or head down to The Moor for a real life nativity and the chance to get up close to Rudolph and his friends.
Last year Peppa Pig visited The Moor to switch their lights on at 3pm, Sheffield City Council’s announcement of who the special guest will be this year will follow shortly.
The big switch on artist at Barkers Pool main stage has yet to be announced but watch this space and put a note in your diary for this not to be missed moment that will make Sheffield sparkle at 5pm.
