Essence of Ireland Christmas Special – A Winters Tale
Friday 10th & Saturday 11th December

Fans of Irish Dance and Music get a chance to enjoy the true Spirit of Christmas at the spectacular show Essence of Ireland – A Winters Tale.

This special Christmas edition blends traditional Irish music and dance, coupled with all your favourite Christmas classics, including the heart warming Fairytale of New York.

With some of the Country’s finest musicians and dancers, this beautifully choreographed show takes you on a musical journey to the land of ‘Tir na nog’ – the ‘Narnia’ live land inhabited by leprechauns, imps and fairies.

You go along expecting a Celtic experience, and what you get is a beautiful Christmas experience with Ireland at its core!

A Christmas Night at the Opera
Thursday 16th & Friday 17th December

London Festival Opera brings together world class artists who have appeared with the major opera companies including the Royal Opera, English National Opera and Glyndebourne Festival Opera. A Christmas Night at the Opera features the works of the great opera and operetta composers, including Mozart, Verdi, Rossini and Bizet, plus repertoire associated with the Christmas Season including Puccini’s La Boheme. The artists will appear in sumptuous Victorian evening dress recreating the atmosphere and grandeur of past times. The audience will be invited to join the soloists in two popular carols at the end of the programme.

London Festival Opera has presented performances throughout the UK and Europe including in one of the world’s greatest opera houses, La Fenice in Venice.

Babes in the Wood
Sunday 26th December – Saturday 8th January

Meet the dashing Robin Hood, cheer Maid Marion and the Merry Men, and boo the dastardly Sheriff of Nottingham as we bring all the magic of Pantomime to the Opera House in this rip-roaring, fun-filled family extravaganza.

There will be an experienced Pantomime cast, dazzling sets and costumes, fabulous musical numbers, hilarious family comedy and, of course, plenty of audience participation.

Each year the Green Room’s Pantomime gets bigger and better and this year’s is set to be the only panto you’ll want to see this Christmas. Would you be a fool to miss it? You Sherwood!
