Help Santa to help those who need it most!
Text Santa is a new show that aims to raise awareness and money for those most vulnerable during the festive period.
Nine charities, each with the ability to make a real difference to people’s quality of life over the Christmas period, will benefit from the first ever Text Santa appeal.
Working with such companies as Asda and the Heart radio network, the Text Santa campaign will culminate in two big entertainment extravaganzas featuring some of your favourite stars from television, music and showbusiness on ITV1 – the first kicks off in early-December, with the finale taking place live over Christmas.
Keep coming back to the site, as full details of what’s coming to your TV screens will be announced later this autumn!
We’ll also have details of how you can take part and donate by text – as well as by landline, online or in your bank branch.
The charities were selected by an advisory panel from a list provided by the Charities Aid Foundation. The chosen charities for Text Santa 2011 are:
Carers UK; Crisis; Help the Hospices; Samaritans; and WRVS; and children’s hospital charities – Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity, The Noah’s Ark Appeal, Helping Hand, and Yorkhill Children’s Foundation.
Funds raised will be passed directly to the charities as soon as they are received so that initial donations can make a real difference this Christmas.
