Bournemouth Christmas Festival 2013

The Bournemouth Christmas Festival has been established for six years and this year will be bigger and better than ever before! Held in the heart of Bournemouth in the Town Square, surrounding streets and the Lower Gardens this festive extravaganza will be bursting at the seams with Christmas ambience.

Full of atmosphere with Christmas lights; fun animated figures and festive decorations the Christmas Festival is something not to be missed. This year will see the return of the market, which will run from 14th November – 6th January featuring authentic German cuisine, an Alpine Chalet style bar offering traditional Gluhwein and an abundance of stalls offering a variety of seasonal gifts.

Work your way through the market and into the Lower Gardens to be amazed by the impressive lights illuminating the winter wonderland. The Gardens of Light will be running from 16th November – 6th January and will include a variety of interactive displays that the whole family can enjoy. There will also be a fantastic ice rink taking centre stage in the gardens adding the ultimate festive statement.

A Christmas Parade will taking place on 1st and 12th of December and Santa’s Grotto will be open on 16th, 17th, 23rd, 24th and 30th November through to 24th of December. And as Christmas wouldn’t be complete without a pantomime ‘Aladdin’ will be showing from 7th – 5th of January.

So make sure you come to Bournemouth for your Christmas shopping, festivities and fun – the festival will be running from 14th November to 6th January.
