Worcester Victorian Christmas Fayre is the leading Victorian-themed street market in the West Midlands and is the perfect way to begin your seasonal preparations and celebrations.

The atmospheric streets of historic Worcester’s will be filled with sideshows and more than a hundred stalls with many stallholders expected to dress in traditional dress as 19th century ladies, gents, urchins and chimney sweeps, as well as a few Victorian themed surprises along the way!

Make it an exciting, fun packed day out by combining your trip to the Fayre with a visit to Worcester’s historic attractions and exceptional range of independent boutiques and popular High Street names, or take the weight off your feet and relax in one of the city’s many cafes, pubs and restaurants.

The Fayre will be open on Thursday between 12noon and 9pm, on Friday between 11am and 9pm, Saturday 10am until 8pm, and Sunday 11am until 5pm.

Following the massive success of Cinderella, popular TV presenter Stephen Mulhern who was such a hit in last year’s show returns in the spectacular family pantomime Sleeping Beauty.

Starring alongside Stephen will be hilarious impressionist Hilary O’Neil, children’s favourite Cat Sandion (CBeebies), Josh James (2010 UK Eurovision entrant) and the return of the two Ugly Sisters from last year – Ian Smith (King Izznit) and Michael Batchelor (Nurse Nellie).

Expect all the ingredients of a festive family treat – lots of glamour, romance, comedy, song, audience participation and stunning special effects – there’s even a fire-breathing dragon!

Harrogate Christmas Market

Harrogate Christmas Market returns from Thursday 27th November to Sunday 30th November 2014 – and this year it will be even bigger and better.

Organised by Harrogate Chamber of Trade and Commerce, this four-day festive market will be filled with high quality Yorkshire and Harrogate products. This year it is expected to have around 200 stalls selling everything from Yorkshire cheeses and chutneys to handmade gifts and Christmas decorations. And of course, Santa will be back in his grotto with real reindeer outside!

Among the highlights will be the large Craft and Gift Marquee and a Food and Drink Marquee which will have café-style tables and chairs for visitors to relax and enjoy the Yorkshire produce on offer.

There will be even more Funfair Rides for the little ones to enjoy too as well as festive musical entertainment from local buskers.

It’s not just the Christmas Market itself which will be bringing visitors to Harrogate – the Christmas lights will be officially switched on at a celebration outside the Victoria Shopping Centre on Thursday 20th November from 4pm to 6pm. The whole of the town centre will then be lit up every day with the glow of thousands of festive lights, throughout the four-day Christmas Market and right up until the end of December.

Harrogate is famous for its fantastic boutiques and independent shops, a huge range of restaurants, cafes and bars, and many wonderful places to stay, from family-run B&Bs to internationally renowned hotels with hundreds of rooms, spas, pools, golf courses and more. Why not make a full weekend of it and stay in Harrogate for a few nights? As well as Harrogate Christmas Market and the town itself, you can enjoy the beautiful surrounding countryside, take a trip out to the Yorkshire Dales or stop by the many towns and villages in the surrounding area.

This December, First Family Entertainment brings you the magical pantomime Cinderella! This classic rags to riches story sees Cinders transformed from a maid put upon by her wicked step sisters, to the belle of the ball – with a little help from her Fairy Godmother.

This year’s sparkling pantomime Cinderella is to star the stunning Suzanne Shaw as Fairy Godmother, and returning due to popular demand having won the hearts of the Vale two years ago, Russell Grant as Baron Hardup. Russell and Suzanne are joined by Britain’s Got Talent semi-finalist Andrew Derbyshire as Prince Charming, Aylesbury’s very own Andy Collins as Buttons, and singer/songwriter Holly Brewer in the title role of Cinderella.
