Sleeping Beauty, The Churchill Theatre Bromley

Welcome to the enchanted Bromley. A land full of castles, fairies, witches, forest and a spinning wheel! The evil Carabosse has cast a spell on the beautiful Princess, and she is doomed to sleep for a hundred years. Only a kiss from her true love can break the spell. Do you think you can help the Prince to enter the hidden and cursed castle and rescue the Princess?

After the successful run of Cinderella (2013/2014’s panto), UK Productions returns with another highly anticipated and magical traditional pantomime. With spectacular sets and costumes, Sleeping Beauty is fantastic seasonal fun for everyone aged 3 to 103! Starring Marc Baylis from ITV’s Coronation Street as the Prince. Marc can currently be seen as series regular Rob Donavan in ITV’s Coronation Street where his character killed off the lovely Tina. He was recently nominated as Best Newcomer at both The National Television Awards and the Inside Soap Awards. His numerous other television credits include: Misfits, Sirens, Law and Order, The Bill, Eastenders, Doctors, My Uncle Silas, Battlefields, and Hollyoaks.

Joining Marc as the Good Fairy is 80s pop icon Sonia. Sonia released a number of hits during the 80′s and 90′s but is most famous for her number 1 hit You’ll Never Stop Me Loving You and representing the UK in the 1993 Eurovision Song Contest where she came second. She has also appeared as Bunty Savage, Lily Savage’s daughter and in the reality TV show Reborn in the USA.

Zoe Birkett will play the role of the evil Carabosse (Bad Fairy). Zoe earned her place as the winning female contestant in ITV’s Pop Idol 2002 by the British public. She performed in West End smash hit Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Original cast and she also originated the role of Janet Jackson in Thriller Live West End. Zoe has recently been a contestant on Channel 5’s Big Brother.

A face the children will know is Jamie Rickers who is playing Silly Billy. Jamie is a familiar face on CITV and Nickelodeon, with hosting Toonattik and Jamie and Anna’s U-Pick Summer (both co-hosted by Anna Williamson, who was with us as Cinderella last year!)

Finally, playing the part of Nurse Nelly is the legend of radio, screen and stage, Bobby Crush. Bobby first came into the public eye after six winning appearances on Opportunity Knocks in the 70s. Since then he has had numerous stage roles and his own TV show.

Dick Whittington, Regent Theatre

Stoke-on-Trent’s favourite panto star Jonathan Wilkes returns to the Regent stage once more, as our hero Dick Whittington. Join Dick on his fun-filled quest for fame and fortune and to find the ‘streets paved with gold’! Will he win the hand of the lovely Alice – and will he defeat the dastardly King Rat? There’s only one way to find out!

Also returning this year is Christian Patterson as the funniest dame in panto-land, Sarah the Cook and Kai Owen (Torchwood) as King Rat.

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Opera House Manchester

First Family Entertainment returns to produce the highlight of the Christmas calendar with this year’s Pantomime, and this year it promises to be bigger and better than ever before!

Sleeping Beauty, Southport Theatre & Convention Centre

Sleeping Beauty is an enchanting mix of music, magic, adventure and pantomime fun with bags of audience participation.

This year, for the first time, pantomime is brought to Southport by one of the country’s top pantomime producers, Imagine Theatre, with a script written by the BAFTA Award winning writing team of Iain Lauchlan and Will Brenton.

Princess Belle is cursed by the wicked fairy Carabosse so that on her 18th birthday she will prick her finger upon a spinning wheel and die. Azuriel, the good fairy alters the spell that sends the princess into an enchanted sleep which will last for one hundred years. The only way she can be awoken is by a kiss from her one true love.

Join Nurse Nanny Nora, Josh the Jester and the dashing Prince Valiant as they battle with dragons and time machines to ensure the Prince can wake the sleeping Princess on time!
